Dog-Friendly Cafes in Seoul

Highlights of dog-friendly cafes around Seoul tried-and-tested personally by Lisa, the SolWag founder

Every dog-friendly cafe visited personally by me, Lisa, the founder of SolWag.

If you’re looking for a good dog-friendly cafe in Seoul, SolWag got you! I (Lisa) like to take my book to read at local dog-friendly coffee shops to find good ones to recommend to dog owners.

At the moment I’m living in Seoul so most of my personal recommendations are here; but watch this space!

But you can find so many more options over on the SolWag app, added both by myself and other SolWag users! These recommendations are country-wide.

The app is currently in closed testing. If you’re interested in having a look, apply to join the beta testing round.

These cafes are all within a 10 – 15 minutes walk from Seoul Station.

Knit Coffee

Knit Coffee

Unit 107, 1F, 30 Sowol-ro 2-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul

Knit Coffee

Knit Coffee felt tucked away and secluded from the crazy busy roads that surrounded it. With one long side being mostly large swivelling windows it let in a lot of natural light and as the summer humidity had started leaving by the time I visited, a lovely gentle breeze sauntered in while I read my book in peace. Plenty of seating inside and out and they sell freshly baked goods daily.

Illuso Coffee

Illuso Coffee

39-1 Sowol-ro, Jung District, Seoul

Illuso Coffee

Illuso Coffee had a super chill vibe to it and I very much enjoyed the choice of music quietly playing in the background. It had a tasteful collection of vinyls, some on the walls as decor, and comfortable seating spread across 3 floors.

One thing I really loved was the waft of fresh baked goods reaching me on the second floor, it smelled delicious!

Coffee Libre

Coffee Libre

20-5 Seongmisan-ro 32-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul

Coffee Libre

Coffee Libre looked ready to welcome dogs with cleaning stations and leash 'parking' (see pictures). There was ample seating upstairs which was very roomy with high ceilings and lots of natural light spewing in.

The coffee was also of great quality and the cafe is B Corp certified (with an impressive score of just over 90%) with many efforts going on such as their ethically sourced beans.

Cupinterra

417-13 Jangan-dong, Dongdaemun District, Seoul, South Korea

Cupinterra

I got a couple of hours Korean study in at Cupinterra before a tennis lesson and while it sits right on the road it was still quiet. There's a large table in the center of the room that I think would be great for group gatherings/meetings but I sat by the side with a window view to distract me when my mind wondered from study.

Kyo Coffee

Kyo Coffee

432-7 Jangan-dong, Dongdaemun District, Seoul

Kyo Coffee

Kyo Coffee is super cosy and I parked myself up in the corner for a few hours of Korean study before my tennis lesson. They were playing old muted cartoons (I think Tom & Jerry) on a projector on the screen and the general decor was very homey and cute with limited but comfortable seating inside and seating space outside too.

It was the first time I tried an Orange Americano and it was an instant win! Someone also brought in the cutest little dog but I was too slow to take a picture, sorry.

NOBIGDEAL

135-4 Yangjaecheon-ro, Seocho District, Seoul

NOBIGDEAL

This place was genuinely so fun and cool! They had a whole bunch of character themed goods from Pokemon to Minions to Toy Story and so much more. It was an activity in itself to snoop through all the goods to purchase while waiting for my drink (I didn't buy anything but spotted a few things I'll make sure to go back for asap!).

There was plenty of seating both inside and out, and they were also selling some special dog biscuits so definitely a dog friendly spot. Someone brought in a really cute dog but my friend got scared and I didn't have a chance to take a photo; blame Tara.

prt prt is another dog-friendly cafe I enjoyed visiting for a morning read. The large windows were swiveled open to let in a gentle breeze, and I loved that the summer humidity was starting to leave, giving way to lots of natural light and a very comfortable atmosphere inside.

Speedy service and a comfy stop for a morning slow-down.
